Along with three other Society of Authors writers, Oliver Eade, Peter Flannery and Margaret Skea, I will be giving a talk about the 'Why' and 'How' of fiction writing. In particular I will focus on mainstream fiction and with a brief talk about my latest book, Wanderers All: stories from emigrant families. This is a collection of forty short stories from my own forebears emigration in the nineteenth century to Australia and New Zealand.

Getting ready for the Melrose Book Sale on Saturday 16th November 2024 at 1030 to 1500. Maura Kennedy Fair will launch her debut novel, Murder at the Meridian Club Ball. I will have copies of all my books published so far, plus my latest Wanderers All: stories from emigrant families. There will be seven Silver Quill writers at the event - Oliver Eade, Robert Breustedt, Peter Bromley, Pat Watts, Pamela Gordon Hoad.

Seven Silver Quill writers at the Book Sale in Melrose, Scottish Borders. Proceeds from the book sale went to the charity Children First.
